Puppy & Kitten Growth Predictor
A general guide to estimate your puppy or kitten's adult weight based on their current age and weight using general growth reference curves. Not veterinary advice.
Predictions are estimates based on average growth curves. Actual adult weight depends on genetics, diet, and health.

How Growth Prediction Works
Growth Curves
Puppies and kittens follow predictable growth curves. At any age, their weight as a percentage of adult weight follows a sigmoid pattern — rapid early growth that slows as they mature.
Size Matters
Small breeds reach adult weight by 10-12 months. Giant breeds keep growing until 18-24 months. This tool adjusts the growth curve based on expected adult size.
The Formula
We use the percentage-of-adult-weight method: if your pet is X% of their adult weight at their current age, we calculate the predicted total. This is a common general approach for rough estimates.
Growth Milestones by Size
Approximate percentage of adult weight reached at each age for dogs.
| Age | Small <10 kg | Medium 10-25 kg | Large 25-45 kg | Giant >45 kg |
